Ingredients • 1 garlic clove, peeled, optional • 300 – 320 grams fresh oregano, basil or tarragon sprigs • 1-1/4 cups white vinegar or white wine vinegar Directions • If desired, cut garlic in half and skewer with a toothpick. • Place in a glass jar or bottle. • Add your herb of choice (oregano, basil or tarragon). Sanguisorba minor Salad Burnet is a herb that is also a member of the rose family. The leaves are rounded with ridged edges. Leaves are a great addition into salads and sandwiches, as well as into lemonades and wine spritzers, that adds a cucumber like flavour. They can also be used to add flavour into dips, tossed into soups, eggs and other hot dishes right at the last minute. The young leaves have the best flavour. Cucumis sativus This is a great cucumber. It has a hint of lemon/lime in the flesh. It’s an abundant producer of typical slicing cucumbers with a good heft. We found that these were good for storing, as they would keep their firmness for at least a few weeks after picking. Making this a good cucumber for early winter salads. Approx. 10 seeds
