Purple Wave Mustard is a cross between Osaka Purple Mustard and Green Wave Mustard. The leaves are light purple and frilly, with a green edge. Definitely hot and spicy. Makes an excellent micro-green and grows up to 46 cm tall.
The plant is cold hardy and can tolerate moderate frost.
Plant in full sun during early autumn or early spring. It can however, be grown all year round. Bring it indoors if the temperature falls below 5 ˚ Celsius. Water regularly.
Crop rotation is very important when growing mustard greens because they’re in the brassica family. They are susceptible to the same pests and diseases as broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, collards, kale, radishes and turnips.
