Garlic Khabar (Heirloom)


Allium sativum

This is a beautiful Siberian heirloom that was originally collected in the city of Khabarovsk…. hence the name.
This garlic is not the usual intense garlic flavour and really lends itself well to complimenting dishes without overpowering them. We really enjoy this garlic on it’s own fried in butter and eaten off a toothpick with a nice bottle of red wine. You will be amazed at the flavour in both the wine and the garlic.
Another way that this garlic really shines is a simple salad dressing with crushed raw Khabar, olive oil and a spring of rosemary and basil.
