A very old US heirloom variety first listed in 1885. A unique looking watermelon with a long history. Named after its rough-looking skin that gives the impression of tree bark. A sweet, crisp and tasty watermelon that ‘holds’ well, so can be stored or kept on the vine for a week or two extra.
